Child Care

Chambliss 21Our Extended Child Care (ECE) program offers high-quality early childhood education and childcare to children from 6 weeks old- 12 years old on a sliding fee scale. The program operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and serves parents who are either working or in school. The goal is to provide the best possible education to young children, in preparation for Kindergarten, and to provide a safe place for our older children before and after school. The program serves more than 300 children and maintains a sizeable waiting list. If you would like to be added to the waiting list, please fill out the application and either mail, hand deliver, or email it back to Sumer Arispe at  If you have additional questions about this program, please call 423-698-2456.

If you are interested in employment within the Extended Child Care Program, please fill out this Employment Application and mail, deliver or email it to Kim Borrego at

As an extension of our main program, Chambliss Center for Children also manages five off-site Early Childhood Education programs throughout the Chattanooga community. Each of these centers has its own Board of Directors, however, through a management agreement our administrative staff do all of the back office work, and our program staff manage the day-to-day operations of each one. These centers use the same sliding fee scale and follow the same curriculum as the program on our main campus. These programs operate from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
